Recently, I appeared on MSNBC with Contessa Brewer to discuss President Obama, Donald Trump, the birth certificate and the political fall-out. In the conversation, the leftist meme came forth about those who question the President, on anything, are actually racists. My response was simple – if those who are consumed with Obama’s birthplace are “birthers,” then those consumed with unfounded and uninspired conspiracy theories that all Obama opponents are racists should be called “Race-ers.”

Watch the video for yourself:

This term, whether spelled “Race-ers,” “racers,” “raceer,” or “raceers” is being embraced in all corners. John Nolte of Big Hollywood is now using it in his posts, Newsbusters highlighted it while saying “Bravo, Tony. Bravo!” Lucianne.com has posted it, and Pajamas Media has released articles here, here and here on the subject. (Full Disclosure – I host a weekly show on PJTV.com and my articles have been published by Pajamas Media.)

365 days ago, I became a member of the Tea Party. I stood on the pier in Santa Monica, and watched a small, but vibrant crowd of strangers get together. I shook near every hand that gathered that day. And I had the privilege, and, as I look back on it, the honor, to be the first person ever to speak at a Los Angeles Tea Party rally.

In my review of the past 365 days, the economy sank – both the country’s and mine – and businesses floundered – both the country’s and mine . As a Capitalist, I have always known that if you keep looking, keep searching, keep fighting, keep thinking, keep trying, you will find you way to the success you endeavor. I knew that losing funding on a new business would be painful, (and it was) but it would not be forever. It was the business that lost, not me. I was still here. Organizing Tea Parties, letting my voice be heard, and helping others do the same.

From that first rally in Santa Monica, to the Tax Day Tea Party in Van Nuys, to the success of 912West and all of the events in between and since, I am overjoyed by the response of Los Angeles to the Tea Parties. I am thrilled by its success, and its growth, across the country. I am thrilled to see people actively participating in their nation, running for office on principle-based tickets, not party-based. It seems that there are millions who truly embrace the mantra of “Principle. Not Party.” I am thrilled to see that the movement is moving overseas. People taking control of their lives, taking responsibility for their past actions, and working to make better choices in the future, for their futures.

Nothing is done alone. The Tea Party Movement is proof of that. And while we remain joyously leaderless, (regardless of MSNBC’s claims) there are some people who need to be thanked. They were first, because someone had to be first. What makes me feel so great is the knowledge that they are not the last, and that we many not see the last for many years to come (regardless of what Gov. Schwarzenegger says.)

My thanks to Brooks Bayne, Stephen Kruiser, Ashley Nicole Ingram, Justin Smith and Gary Aminoff. I had a growing friendship with Brooks, but I didn’t know the others. 365 days later, they are friends. We talk, we drink, we smoke cigars, we laugh, we learn, we argue. We do the things that friends of a lifetime do. Our lifetime started 365 days ago. Our Tea Party bond makes us strong.

My thanks to Top Conservatives on Twitter, created in the fall of 2008, which got people talking to each other. The hashtag #TCOT made it possible to reach others quickly and effectively, and those early members helped spread the word about Tea Parties, and made them viable across the country.

My thanks to my wife, whom I do not blog about. And, while I haven’t done the research, I believe this is the first time I have ever referenced her. As I stated earlier, Nothing is done alone. While I was organizing, my wife was giving advice, holding down our family, and supporting the decisions that we made to work hard for the Tea Party Movement. We knew, and we still know, that we control our destinies. That our children should have the same freedom and liberty that we had. That this is our motivation. We owe it to them. If picking a spouse was a game show, then I’m the guy who won the Amazing Race. Luckily for me, I’m still on that race with someone I love.

And to all of you I have met over the course of this year. To the great work you do, and will do, let me say thank you. In Los Angeles, we don’t believe in career Tea Party politicians. That is why I have stepped back from organizing, and good people like Michael Fell have come in to lead LA. While I will never stop being a part of the Tea Party Movement, the Tea Parties are not about one person. They are about we. They are about you. Everyone must participate. Everyone must put their skin in the game. Everyone must take responsibility. Without that, the Tea Party Movement has no chance of survival. With that, Statism has no chance of survival.

One year later, and I couldn’t be more proud. A year that brought my family the worst economic times in our history, has made us rich beyond words. We thank you all for that.

I can not wait to see what 2010 brings us.

NBC is ignorant.

It is obvious, to anyone willing to pay any type of attention at all, that NBC is nothing more than a mouth-piece for the Obama administration, and, moreover, the Democrat Party. The resignation of Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, who was brought to the light of day by Glenn Beck, and a host of incredible bloggers and researchers, including Michelle Malkin, shows just how strong the will of the American people is. Once we learned about who Van Jones was, and is now, once we learned about what he has said in the past, and in the past 8 months, once we saw what kind of people President Obama was placing in high-level positions outside the purview of Senate approval, we – the American people – said no.

The removal of Van Jones was about finding information, and disseminating that information. Twitter, Facebook, blogs, emails and a dose of Fox News – that’s what it took to get the word out on Van Jones. The removal of Van Jones shows the new “force-to-be-reckoned-with” in the United States – We The People. The Obama Administration never prepared for this. They probably don’t event understand how it’s possible. They thought that they alone controlled the American people. Obviously, they don’t quite yet know what Charles Krauthammer explained to all of us in a column just today. Obama is mortal. He is not superior….he’s just a man. Maybe now they understand that the American people will not be controlled. They will not be servants to the President, no matter what celebrity shows up in a video.

After the stunning resignation of Van Jones, NBC Washington ran this story with the following headline:

“Obama Aide Van Jones Resigns After GOP Attacks”

What are they talking about? What GOP attacks? Who do they think they are fooling? It is now obvious, to anyone willing to pay any type of attention at all, that NBC is beyond just a mouth-piece for the administration. NBC is ignorant. They are attempting to spin the resignation as the work of GOP, in order to show the Obama administration as under attack, under siege, in need of pity, in need of support against the big, bad enemy that does not control the House, the Senate or the White House. NBC has given up the ghost of any type of journalism, and instead have resigned themselves to be ignorant shills for the administration, and for the Democrat party.

It’s not enough to explain them as just ignorant, (and they are) it is also important to understand that, with this resignation, and subsequent headline, that they are irrelevant. NBC, with daily cheerleading of Brian Williams, subsequent cheering from Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell, and the “flights of fancy” that attempt to pass themselves off as journalists on MSNBC (Schultz, Matthews, Olbermann, Maddow), was no match for the American people. NBC spends their days and nights defending the White House, defending Obama, defending the Democrat party. They use their money, influence, and control, to spin every message they can to distort the reality on the ground. Want proof? I refer you to the headline posted above.

Van Jones didn’t resign because of GOP attacks. (And, so we can be clear, it was Van Jones who has the history of attacking the GOP!!) Van Jones resigned because the American people demanded it. The American people were made aware of who he is, what he thinks and what he believes. They did their own research, and they found out even more. They spoke up, they spoke loud, they shared information, and they got more people to speak up, and be loud.

Van Jones resigned because NBC and MSNBC are no match for the American people. Yet, NBC thinks Van Jones resigned because of GOP attacks.

NBC is ignorant….and irrelevant.
