Mayor and presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has angered both the police in South Bend and the residents with his reaciton to a police involved shooting. In the Democratic debates, and on the campaign trail, Mayor Buttigieg has made comments angering police, intimating that they are racist and policing is based in systemic racism.

South Bend Fraternal Order of Police Preisdent Harvey Mills talked to Tony Katz about tensions in South Bend, how the police department has responded to Mayor Buttigieg’s statements (including when the Mayor sent the police department pizza) and how city residents are reacting.
