Talking about Illegal Immigration

My interview with RT about illegal immigration.

It’s called Capitalism

The President recently made remarks on the concept of “immigration reform.”  He stood regally, read from his tele-prompt-ers (peppered with awkward pauses due, most likely, to a poor Tele-promp-ter Management Administrator) and spoke about things that almost made sense.  However, he would quickly correct himself by speaking in his more familiar tongue of nonsense.  Simply, it was a speech that was meant to say, “I gave a speech.”  It was, once again, quasi-action designed to give the appearance of action from an administration that is deeply and gravely opposed to the concept of action – on a subject (illegal immigration) that requires definitive action.

I have grown accustomed to the nonsense from this administration.  I have watched them with their deft skills maneuver around big issues, skirt major decision and purposefully fail to achieve solutions. This is the mark of the Statist.  Problems offer opportunities for expanding power (government control) whereas solutions remove the opportunity to expand power (government control).  Many people quote Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel when he said, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” What they fail to mention, however, is the second part, which is the most telling, and most damning. Emanuel continues, “…and what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

This is why the Administration won’t seal the border, and is virulently opposed to Arizona enforcing the existing Federal law. They call the Arizona law “ill conceived.” Solutions, for this administration, put an end to the opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.  Solving problems stands in bold juxtaposition to the desires of the Obama administration.

In his speech, the President made overtures to the power of immigrants, and to the impact they have had on our country.  However, he failed to understand why immigrants come to the country in the first place. If we are going to discuss the historical context of why immigrants traditionally came to the United States, then we must accept that it is for Freedom and Liberty.  If we are going to then follow up, and understand what allowed these immigrants to grow, thrive and prosper, then we must accept that it is Capitalism.

The growth and success of immigrants is not by accident, nor is the growth and success of people born in the United States.  Growth and success (and numerous other wonderful effects) are born out of opportunity.  Opportunity exists when Natural Laws are understood and adhered to.  Opportunity exists when government gets out of the way…..when people taste the fruits of their labors, when they are enabled to try, fail, learn and the try again.

We are not a prosperous, vibrant nation because we allow immigrants into the country, and I say this as a second generation American.  My grandparents came to America in the 1930′s – on different boats – from Poland.  They met in night school in Brooklyn where they were learning English.  They were promised nothing tangible. They were not promised food, nor housing, nor clothing nor healthcare. They were not promised money, nor government hand-outs.  What they were promised was the promise of America – opportunity.  That they would not be attacked in the streets for being Jewish, (as opposed to the land they recently departed) and that they would not have their property taken from them without due process.  That the concepts of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” derive from Natural Laws, and that no man has the right to take them away from another man.  What allowed my grandparents to prosper was Capitalism.  If they worked hard, if they had good ideas, if they were willing to try, they could achieve their American dream.

President Obama singled out Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google, as if his success existed because we allow immigrants into the country.  This is simply word play from the President – We allow immigrants, immigrants create search engines. Ta-Da!

The United States trusts, believes in, employs and relies on Capitalism to be the basis of a free people. When this system is allowed to work, with minimal government involvement, anyone who participates within it has the opportunity to grow and thrive.  It is a testament to the system that those who are not born in the US can gain great financial and personal success if they work within it.  The success of the United States is based solely and firmly in the concept of equal opportunity, and in enjoying the benefits of one’s hard work (as opposed to those benefits being the property of the state.)

It is dishonest for President Obama to simply say that our nation’s success is based on our allowing immigrants into the United States.  This would lead one to believe that those who are opposed to illegal immigration are opposed to the success of the United States, and that any nation that allows immigrants will have instant success.

To be opposed to illegal immigration is an affirmation that the United States is a nation of laws.  We do not allow ruthless thugs to intimidate us, nor do we allow those who do not follow the rules to gain credibility (and certainly not citizenship!) If any nation that allowed immigrants achieved instant success, then the United Kingdom and France (flush with Muslim immigrants) would be the most successful nations in the history of the world. Yet, as we know, they are not.  The UK is, day by day, falling apart under the weight of its socialist government, and the undermining of its Western values.  France is doing no better.

The President, once again, does not understand the issue in front of him. Capitalism is the foundation of our greatness.  It comes from Natural Laws.  The acceptance of  ”…huddled masses, yearning to breathe free…” makes us a caring nation, but it is not our laws.  It is not the basis of our way of life, and it alone does not, can not and will not make any nation great.  It is Capitalism that provides the framework, the opportunity for greatness and lets all of our lawful citizens prosper – regardless of their place of birth.

The Lawful Citizens and SB 1070

When the Los Angeles City Council decided to boycott Arizona because of SB 1070, also known as the Arizona Immigration Law, it did not sit well with miillons of people across the country, and with many here in Los Angeles.

It didn’t sit well that the Council was taking their eye off the prize, which should be making LA a better place to live. It should be about the Council dealing with gangs. It should be about the Council fixing the sidewalks, and working towards infrastructure needs for the next 50 years. It should be about the Council not overspending, not allowing others to overspend and not allowing the State of California to abuse the people of LA in regards to the state’s embarrassing spending habits, and poor mismanagement of funds.

In boycotting Arizona, the LA City Council stopped making it about all the people of Los Angeles, and started making it about race. As if illegal immigration was ever about race.

The racist argument is used by the lesser of men. Those without the capacity to engage in conversation, and those without the desire to recognize the reality. The racist argument is a red herring by political hacks like LA City Council members Ed Reyes, Janice Hahn and Dennis Zine. By San Francisco Mayor Gaving Newsome, and Oakland Vice-Mayor Ignacio De La Fuente. By MSNBC, and the Daily Kos.

Americans oppose illegal invaders. We never asked, and never cared about their color, their sex, religion, their ethnicity, which baseball team they liked, if they enjoy long walks on the beach or what their favorite ice cream flavor is. Americans stop at the word illegal. For the lawful citizen, there is nothing more to talk about.

The racist argument is used by those who want to claim exploitation. Yet, we know that the exploiting is done when you allow illegals in the country, using them as cheap labor. Fine the employers who do so, is what the lawful citizens say. Stop the exploitation of other human beings, is what the lawful citizens say. The Statists (of all colors, creeds and sexes) want the open border, and the continued exploitation of people. The lawful citizens care far more for people.

The racist argument is used by those who want to claim that California is a part of Mexico, illegally obtained and invaded. Yet, we know that California is part of the United States, and will remain so. We know that every conversation about illegality of California is a diversion to let more illegals across the border; a human invasion to bring about Cloward-Piven strategies, and to increase the votes for Statists. Every lawful citizen knows that those who favor, engage in and support the activities of illegals are working against the interests of the United States. The lawful citizens care far more for America, and its proven way of life.

The racist argument will be used in Los Angeles, when we gather to protest the LA City Council for boycotting Arizona, in which they have taken away $7.7 million in contracts from Arizona business owners and employees. Yet, we know that business owners and employees don’t write laws and pass laws. They work hard, provide for their families, enrich their communities and pay their taxes. Every lawful citizen knows that these boycotts, in LA and around the country, are random, indiscriminate, violent attacks against the lawful citizens by the political hack class. The politicians who boycott do not care about people who wish to live their lives in peace. Rather, they see a chance to exploit the workers and the employers. Using them as pawns, so they can gain political points with their constituencies, hundreds and possibly thousands of miles away. The politicians will then raise money for their future campaigns by exploiting these employers and employees. The lawful citizens care far more for the lawful citizens of Arizona, and will not be intimidated by the politically correct political class.

Protest the LA City Council. Protest in your own city if they have boycotted Arizona. You are not alone. The lawful citizens of the United States of America are with you.

Buy Arizona! Weekend

Come to the Buy Arizona! Weekend – June 4th to June 6th

Soon after Arizona passed SB 1070, a measure that forces law enforcement to enforce the law and ask about immigration status during lawful police activities, politicos from around the country, sensing an opportunity to raise campaign funds, pushed to attack Arizona.  In a cowardly manner, they did not go after law makers for crafting the legislation, nor did they go after the Governor, Jan Brewer, for signing the legislation (though some people did not treat her kindly, with effigies made of her, nor were the police treaded kindly, with water bottles and garbage thrown at them.)

Rather, the political hack class – Mayor Gavin Newsome (D-SF) and Councilman Ed Reyes (D-Los Angeles) amongst them – decided to go after Arizona business.  Through the use of boycotts, San Francisco and Los Angeles looked for ways to cancel contracts, and place moratoriums against official travel to Arizona.  In Oakland, the town council, led by Vice-Mayor Ignacio De La Fuente, has agreed to boycott Arizona.  A convention of immigration lawyers cancelled their national convention in Scottsdale.  According to estimates, $10 million has already been lost.

$10 Million lost by the employers and the employees of Arizona.  Lost by people who did not write the bill, nor vote for the bill.  Employees and small business owners who are now under violent attack.  The political hack class looks only to line their pockets, and makes decisions that fit their own self-interests, regardless of whom they hurt in the process.  In this case, the men and women who are trying to provide for their families.

When I first heard about the boycotts, I knew that innocent people were under attack by ignorant politicians. I have a daily radio show, that plays in four cities, as well as online.  I knew that tourism would be badly effected by thee boycotts, and that would effect all businesses in time.  So, I created the Buy Arizona! Initiative.  The Buy Arizona! Initiative provides free advertising for Arizona businesses.  Each day, we provide one ad for a business in Arizona, doing a live read in the middle of the show.  Other radio hosts, terrestrial and internet, have joined the Initiative, and we welcome more to do so.

Being a Tea Party organizer, I realized that action is everything.  The people of Arizona appreciate the advertising, but they needed to know that millions of Americans are with them, standing shoulder to shoulder with them while they face this politically motivated, unwarranted onslaught.  Sonja Schmidt, a fellow Tea Party member and commentator for PJTV.com had started a plan of her own. Sonja wanted to organize a weekend that was focused on the people, not rallies.  Focused on supporting business, on having fun, and on creating a weekend that would let people relax, share, engage and get ready for the fight ahead of us. We got to talking, and decided to put our resources together for the common goal.  We have to go to Arizona, and show them our support.  Therefore, we are proud to announce the Buy Arizona! Now Weekend.

From June 4th to June 6th, we encourage everyone to come to Arizona, meet some great people spend some money and have some fun.  We have arranged for a central hotel, have created excursions that people can purchase to Sedona or to go shopping in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.  We’ve arranged a night of comedy, and a night of relaxation.

There is a rally scheduled for the morning of June 5th, which is being done by the people of Arizona.  We encourage those who want to attend to do so.  However, our objective is simple.  We want to inject dollars into the Arizona economy.  We want to look business owners in the eye, and let them know that we are with them.  We want America to see that when you believe in America, you must support your fellow Americans.  The Buy Arizona! Weekend is America’s way of sending a loud clear message to the political hacks and their politically correct minions.  That message is, Stop Abusing Employees and Small Business Owners.

Buy Arizona!

Sometimes, you just have to be pro-active.  That is what I am doing.

From AllPatriotsMedia.com:

All Patriots Media is the platform for Freedom and Liberty. We believe in the Constitution, and we believe in the rights of American citizens to protect and defend themselves.

When Governor Brewer signed the Arizona immigration bill into law, the citizens of Arizona were greeted with violent attacks, racist signs and graffiti. The City Attorney of San Francisco, Dennis Herrera, is working to initiate a boycott of Arizona goods and businesses. An Arizona Congressman is advocating a boycott of convention business in the state.

Tony Katz, host of The Tony Katz Radio Spectacular, has decided to take action against the threats (violent and economic) on the people of Arizona.  All Patriots Media is proud to announce the Buy Arizona! Initiative.

As Tony stated, “The people of Arizona have spoken, and they have made the no-brainer decision to protect themselves.  They have stated that they will enforce Federal law, even when the Federal government lacks the determination to do so themselves.  They have decided to be the responsible people – regardless of what President Obama says – and take control of an out of control situation.

Now, there are talks of economic boycotts, and violent attacks upon police officers.  Am I the only one who noticed that those who support illegal activities are the ones being violent?  Aren’t these the same people who call the Tea Party movement violent?  Will La Raza also advocate a boycott of Iranian products?  Will the city of San Francisco stop trade with China?

I want the people of Arizona to know that they are not alone.  There are millions of people around the country who applaud their efforts.  While no one wants to see a rise of the police state, we all want to see illegal immigration stopped.  We want to see illegals sent back to their country of origin.  We want the borders enforced.  We want the rule of law, and we want government to apply the rules.

So, I have created the Buy Arizona! Initiative.  Everyday, on the Tony Katz Radio Spectacular, we will provide free advertising for one Arizona business.  We will offer the business community of Arizona special advertising rates to reach our growing audience, and help counter the effects of any boycott that is attempted.  The Tony Katz Radio Spectacular will stand shoulder to shoulder with those who want to live their lives in peace, and provide for their families.”

To be a part of the Buy Arizona! Initiative, email us here.  You can contact the Tony Katz Radio Spectacular by email.
