President Trump made quite the announcement this morning. Of course he did it through his favorite platform: Twitter. The President tweeted that due to mail in voting, the potential for fraud is high enough where delaying the election may be a good idea. Tony Katz knows that of course delaying the election is nuts, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be discussing the idea of mail in voter fraud.
The long awaited House Judiciary Hearing with Attorney General Bill Barr was a complete train wreck from the jump. Democrats berated Barr as a corrupt Trump lackey and refused to let the Attorney General answer questions. Bill Barr was able to hold his own and didn’t allow himself to be intimidated. “Even though the media says that we have so many more cases than we did in April, the reality is that we probably have about the same or actually less. I say that because we are testing so many more people than we were before.“
When describing the riots taking place across the country, many have described them as “mostly peaceful protests.” They say that the media has completely overblown what is happening and the depictions of mayhem are greatly exaggerated.
Tony Katz takes a look at these “mostly peaceful protests” and makes his own determination based off the evidence.
For years, we have said that schools are more concerned with teaching social justice rather than valuable life skills. Why do high school student have to take two years of a foreign language, but don’t have to take a course on how to balance a check book or how do home repair? Tony Katz proposes that the education system in America is due for a massive overhaul.
Don’t be shy about it. Any store that sells Chinese face masks needs to go. We have been too quiet on this issue. Katz explains exactly why we need to demand that Chinese made masks are unacceptable in our country and any business that sells them needs to be fully aware of what they are endorsing.
A recent Fox News poll shows presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden with an eight point lead over President Donald Trump in the general election. As with any poll taken in a pandemic, panic-gripped world, the results should be taken with massive grains of both salt and narrative.
The Real Clear Politics polling average has shown Biden ahead for months. In the month of July alone, Biden’s lead has fluctuated between +3 and +15. But for what reason would anyone trust the polling? It’s as if four years ago never happened, when, at this time in the race, then Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton had, what we were told, was a commanding lead.
Of the 25 polls recorded in the month of July, Hillary led in 19 of them. Of the weekend just past (7/17-7/19,) Trump led one by +1 and Hillary led one by +4. In the week that followed, Trump led in four different polls, from between +1 to +7. By the end of July, 2019, Hillary was leading in the polls by +8 and +9. Media never looked past the polls to check their validity or understand the people who took them; they simply pushed the narrative. Hillary to victory!
And that was without a virus that has become so horrifically politicized that any rational-thinking American should be disgusted. California has returned to shutdowns, pushing down the economy that has looked forward to resurgence. Politicos have put unions over parents and students, demanding schools not re-open, or be only virtual; to be clear, multiple Democrats have proudly used school-aged children as a weapon to be wielded against Trump’s election chances. And media has deliberately played along in this fear-mongering about schools.

On China, Biden started his campaign by saying they were nothing to worry about. During a campaign rally in 2019, Biden noted:
China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man…they can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the east, I mean in the west.
As author and pundit Gordon Chang rightly noted, “He’s absolutely incorrect…one can argue that China doesn’t pose for instance a robust challenge to the US, we can argue that we will prevail. But to say as the vice president said that they’re no competition to the US is just inexplicable.”
Trump argued that Biden’s positions on the environment have been not only expensive, but a “gift” to China:
As vice president, Biden was a leading advocate of the Paris climate accord, which was unbelievably expensive to our country…It would have crushed American manufacturers while allowing China to pollute the atmosphere with impunity, yet one more gift from Biden to the Chinese Communist Party.
Trump then lumped Biden in with former President Barack Obama:
So Joe Biden and President Obama freely allowed China to pillage our factories, plunder our communities and steal our most precious secrets,” Trump said, adding, “I’ve stopped it largely.’”
Of course, the media pundits came to Biden’s rescue, lambasting the President for having a “political rally” instead of a press conference.
“Soiled.” He actually said “soiled.”
Biden’s people tried to respond by being too cute by half:
…but there was one topic that President Trump couldn’t seem to get off his mind: Joe Biden, whose name the President invoked nearly 30 times. The whole sad affair says more about Donald Trump than he said about any particular topic.
They quickly changed their tune when they realized the damage the Rose Garden presser had done. They now argue that President Trump should reimburse taxpayers for using the press conference as a campaign rally! From Biden spokesperson Katie Bedingfield:
What we heard in the Rose Garden today wasn’t a president at all. It was a politician who sees his re-election slipping away from him and who is furious that his own botched response to the coronavirus pandemic has denied him the campaign events he so craves…The American taxpayer should be reimbursed for the abuse of funds this spectacle represented.
It’s already clear to Americans across the Midwest – in must-win states like Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio – that Biden (or his team) are afraid of debating President Trump. They know, like Biden’s team knows, that the odds of the former Vice-President to be able to handle a 90-minute debate without debilitating gaffes – or worse! – are very small. But for Trump to remind Midwest Mainstreet of Biden’s weakness on China, and foreign policy as a whole, is damaging to Biden’s spurious claim that he can rebuild the economy; especially as trade and manufacturing become of even more importance in a world financially damaged by coronavirus.
Trump may avoid the Rose Garden for a while, but the damage to Biden is already done.
