I direct you to Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY), and an email he sent out (see below) on behalf of Martha Coakley, a Democrat running for the vacant Senate seat in Massachusetts. The seat came vacant when Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) passed away last year. She is running against Republican Scott Brown.
I specifically direct you to the way that Scott Brown is described as, “…a far-right tea-bagger Republican.”
Sen. Schumer is a fool, and so are the people who vote for him. However, his crass comments highlight something far worse than his inability to be a mensch. They show that he simply doesn’t understand the American people.
The Tea Parties aren’t a bad thing. They are a great thing! The members of the Tea Party Movement aren’t renegades, terrorists, hate-mongers, misogynists, racists or any of the other lies that Janeane Garofalo, MSNBC or the New York Times like to throw out every day. The members of the Tea Party Movement are the voice of America! They demand common sense in Washington D.C. (Which is too bad for Sen. Schumer!) They demand fiscal responsibility, they demand smaller government, they love Capitalism, they believe in the Constitution.
Sen. Schumer doesn’t recognize that he is on the wrong side of destiny. Sen Schumer is the past, and he is a failure. Him, his ideas, and those of the like-minded Statists who hate it when Americans remember they have a spine, and won’t allow it to be bent in submission.
“A man can’t ride your back unless it’s bent.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sen. Chuck Schumer went to college, then law school and then right into politics. While that is fine and legal, he doesn’t have a respect of capitalism and has never worked in the private sector. He went from New York Assembly to U.S. Rep to U.S. Senate giving him no perspective. He is hostile to capitalism and smiles at the prospect of the government taking over heatlh care. He wants more government jobs and less private sector jobs and he pushes for it with all his might and energy. He might want a new job though soon- the senate majority leader position after Sen. Reid is beaten next Fall.

Chuck’s analysis is dead on. Schumer is part of the cubby-hole elitist mentality that pervades D.C. he has never had to “bring home the bacon” so any perspective he would bring to the tabke is purely subjective.
